Paedriatic Advanced Life Support 2011 (PALS)
The course is aimed at the learners practicing life-saving skills all the time, using basic and advanced equipment.
Requirements:
Registered doctors, nursing staff and paramedics as well as final year students in these fields can attend the course. A valid AHA certificate (ACLS/PALS/BLS) is a pre-entry requirement and a BLS course will be presented prior to the course if necessary.
Duration:
PALS 2 Days 08:00-18h00. BLS 6 hrs if required.
Contents:
- Basic and Advanced Airway Management
- Cardiac arrest
- Respiratory emergencies
- Shocked paediatric victims
Test:
There is an official exam at the beginning of the course.
Certificate:
On successful completion, each candidate receives a certificate, which is valid for 2 years, which is internationally recognised.
CPD points:
30 CPD (CEU) points for PALS
Learners should receive the prescribed manual at least 4 weeks prior to the course in order to prepare and benefit maximal from the course.
Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider
The course is aimed at the learners practicing CPR and AED skills all the time, using advanced equipment e.g. bag-valve-mask resuscitators.
Requirements:
Any health care provider can attend the course. Learners should receive the prescribed manual at least 1 week prior to the course in order to prepare and benefit maximal from the course.
Duration:
± 5,5 hrs (Excluding tea breaks)
Contents:
CPR on Adults, children and babies
Choking in adults, children and babies
Skills practicing, using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
Test:
There is an official exam and testing of CPR skills and using an AED at the end of the course.
Certificate:
On successful completion, each candidate receives a certificate, which is valid for 2 years, which is internationally recognised.
CPD points:
15 CPD (CEU) points for BLS.
Learners should receive the prescribed manual at least 4 weeks prior to the
course in order to prepare and benefit maximal from the course.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support 2011 (ACLS)

- Acute Coronary Syndromes and Stroke
- Peri-arest situations e.g. bradycardia and tachycardia
